Lyrics-Temporal Affairs

1: Crazy For Dreaming

Reality, somehow our paths crossed, colliding constellation. You spoke to me & told me your ideology. And one thing I will never understand is why you tried to talk to me at all.
And now I need to know, what does it mean, am I crazy for dreaming this way? This way
And how can it be, am I crazy for dreaming this way? This way
Why does this all matter? Why does this bother me inside? To care for some one I never knew at all.
What does it mean, am I crazy for dreaming this way? This way
And how can it be, am I crazy for dreaming this way? This way
Am I crazy for dreaming? Crazy for dreaming this way.

2: It’s Not Me

Well I could never be the one to look into your eyes, there’s no cosmic connection. Somehow by now I thought you’d come to realize I just don’t feel the same way. Save your lines for someone else I’ve heard it all before, I’m not blinded by your friendly persuasion.
Take me for a fool but I can see right through your smile, right through those games that you play.
And you know that I don’t care, you know that I don’t care who you are. I just won’t play your game.
It’s not me, that you’re looking for no it’s not me. It’s not me, not me.
There’s nothing I can tell you & there’s nothing you can do. You just don’t fit the equation. Now fade to black you’re casting shadows on the moon. So faded by the words that you say.
And you know that I don’t care. You know that I don’t care who you are so turn & walk away.
It’s not me, not me that you’re looking for. No it’s not me.

3: Ordinary Day

Now here it comes again & always in September, and every time it always feels the same. It’s in the air the thoughts that you remember, you try so hard but you can’t stop this change.
You see the lights are slowly changing.
The nights are getting longer can’t explain the spell you’re under. You heard the wind cry out your name. And the colors changing in the sky reminds you of those days gone by. And something’s different, enter autumn, not an ordinary day.
It comes again to remind you of the heartache. And like the leaves your tears begin to fall. Don’t be afraid just hold on ’till tomorrow ’cause in the spring your frozen heart will thaw. Another year has come & gone the change of season brings it on. You see the lights are slowly changing.
The wheels are turning in your head it spins around the words they said. You heard the wind cry out your name. And you can’t explain with rhyme or reason, blame it on the changing season. Your soul is fading & re-arranging. The spirit’s slipping into your system. It’s not an ordinary day.

4: There Before

Can’t hold your head up when the morning comes, I’ve been there before. And now you’re waiting but that sun won’t shine, I’ve been there before.
And you don’t have to talk about it there’s a room with a view through your eyes. And everybody knows you’ve fallen much too far. Your once in a lifetime has gone by the wayside. Your broken down every time it comes around, we’ve been there before.
And all the empty words on an empty page read a full month of Sundays, like so many times before. And nothing means that much when your reach is out of touch, I’ve been there before. And everybody tells you that it takes a while, stumble down a crooked mile, we’ve been there before.
Your dreams in pieces see them shatter as you’re holding your head in your hands. And when you’re dealing feelings from the heart leave your cards on the table. The winner takes all & leaves you gone by the wayside. You’ve been there I know. Yes I know.
There’s nothing I can say to help you take this pain away. I’ve been there before.

5: Short Circuit Society

What happened that broke the connection that led from me to you? Someone’s vision & power & money has
changed our points of view. Through the airwaves they’re jamming transmission, communication lost.
They rewired the human condition & now the lines are crossed.
Short circuit society, live wire mentality. What’s happening to you & me?
Getting caught up in the media game was the first mistake that we made. We power tripped the switch to
our brain. You know there’s no one to blame but ourselves.
Look around now we’ve become their creation. The tides are turning & we’re drowning in the airwaves.
Short circuit society, live wire mentality. What’s happening to you & me?
And there’s no one to blame, no there’s no one to blame but ourselves.
Short circuit society, live wire mentality. What’s happening to you & me?
And there’s no one to blame.

6: Feet Made Of Clay

Where can you turn to when you fall?
No one answers when you call, you find it hard to move at all with feet made of clay.
It’s getting harder all the time with every mountain that we climb.
How can we cross that finish line with feet made of clay?
One step forward two steps back with feet made of clay.
Your heart is like the open road but you don’t know which way to go.
And worst of all you walk alone with feet made of clay.
We’re all just slipping into time, one day we’ll cross that finish line.

7: Your Situation

Well now everybody knows your name down at Grand Central Station.
Mephistopheles calls out your name for his reservation.
Well that’s the game you play, that’s the game you play ‘stimulation’.
And now you find it’s just too late to matter, your back’s against the wall, against the wall.
Now you’re telling me you want to change your situation, tired of faces on an empty page & your medication. Well that’s the price you pay, that’s the price you pay.
And everybody knows that in a lifetime the rain has to fall. It has to fall.
Your situation, you’re gonna fall. You got a nowhere situation, you’re gonna fall.

8: The Art Of Futility

I’m so alone she said to me, with a hole in my heart & in my soul. And as she spends endless nights in eternity the choice that she made was her own.
Now don’t be afraid to begin another day, only you can decide if your heart’s a home. To give up is a blind exercise in futility, reach out your arms to me.
She hides in her house of loneliness around her heart she built a wall of stone. She can’t escape from the pain of yesterday now she’s dying inside all alone.
To give up is a blind exercise in futility, reach out your arms to me.
I stood by her grave & read the words engraved like her heart made of stone. She finally mastered the art of futility “she died as she lived alone.”

9: Line On You

You twist the words you say, inside a hidden meaning. It’s just a game you play & nothing real at all. Fade the sun obscure my view and try to blur my vision. Still I see inside of you, I’m looking through you now. And I can see clearly now. And everything’s clear to me now.
Don’t try to explain your lies are in vain cause I’ve got a line on you. Can’t hide from me now the truth has been found & I’ve got a line on you.
And once I broke down that wall & looked behind your scheming the good intentions you had were never there at all. But everything’s clear to me now.
Don’t try to explain your lies are in vain And I’ve got a line on you. Can’t hide from me now the truth has been found & I’ve got a line on you.
Well I’ve got a line, I’ve got a line on you.

10: End Of The Story

Now it’s the end of the story the end of the line with so many questions & so little time until the end of the story.
Are we blinded by knowledge or blinded by faith, do we stand alone or are we captured by grace? at the end of the story.
So many times we tried to figure it out but it just didn’t make sense at all until the end of the story. Just wait until the end of the story.
With everyday there comes a new beginning it moves us slowly one step closer to the edge.
Now who is going to catch us when we fall?
We spend our whole lifes trying to figure it out but we can never be sure at all until the end of the story. Just wait until the end of the story.
Until the end of the story. Just wait until the end of the story. Not until the end of the story. Not until the end of the story.
I’ll see you at the end of the story.
